FRENCH-CANADIAN?
One question that we will ask is if you need the translation in French-Canadian. Not that there is a big difference between French-Canadian and French for Europe, but if your product is only going to be sold in Canada, the French translation should match the exact dialect of the region.

ABOUT FRENCH
French is a
Romance language. The designation "Romance" comes from the Latin
phrase romanica loqui, which means "to speak in Roman fashion."
Other Romance languages include Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Romanian.
There are approximately 98 million French speakers in the world. Most of them live in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, and parts of Africa. There are about seven million Canadians who are native French speakers; however, six million of them live in Quebec. By law, the government must provide information and services in both French and English. French is one of the official languages of the United Nations.
An interesting fact about French written numerals: they have a comma instead of a decimal, and there is a word space instead of a comma to separate thousands from hundreds, millions from hundreds of thousands, etc.. For instance, you might see "1 600,50" in French, which would mean "1,600.5" in English.
And what about the metric system? Most people in Canada are familiar with both decimal and metric measurements. Because of this, many clients go ahead and offer both measurement systems, especially if the documents will be used in Quebec.
